IT’S 30 YEARS FOR WILLEN AND 30 CLIPS FOR ASK MK TV
January 2011 saw Willen Hospice mark its 30th anniversary and to heighten this event, the charity has started an online campaign.
Willen Hospice has linked with local business askMK.TV to find a unique way to reach out to the younger generation of Milton Keynes. This year, during their 30th anniversary, askMK.TV will post 30 clips throughout the months of 2011, of 30 high profile business leaders of Milton Keynes.
Each personality will be asked ‘What does Willen Hospice mean to you?’. First to take part is suitably Paul Hinson, the Chief Executive of Willen Hospice and next will be Rita Sparta, the Chief Executive of the Chamber of Commerce follow shortly by the Milton Keynes Mayor, Cllr Debbie Brock.
Chief Executive, Paul Hinson explained why exploring the online market can help the Hospice, “As our 30th anniversary is such a big event we are exploring different avenues to reach out to people in the community. We are pushing awareness for the charity through social networking sites to encourage a younger generation to support us as we know that this is where they seek their information. Part of our online campaign includes the growth of our Facebook and Twitter sites, as well as our own website that allow us to give people many options to discover what Willen Hospice is really all about”.
More information about the 30
th anniversary will be released throughout the year and on the Hospice’s new website at
www.willen-hospice.org.uk.
